Who we are

TripPacker is run by Droppin LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. When this page says “we” or “us,” it means Droppin LLC. When it says “you,” it means anyone using mytrippacker.com or the TripPacker app you can add to your home screen.

By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it. If you have a question, email hello@droppinmedia.com.

What TripPacker is

TripPacker makes packing lists. You tell us where you’re going and when, and we suggest what to bring, based on typical weather for that place and month, local conditions, and the gear we’ve used ourselves. Some lists also include things to sort before you go, like documents, money and getting around.

It’s free to use. You don’t need an account. If you choose to sign in with your email, you can delete that account at any time from your trips page.

Packing advice is general

Our lists are general suggestions for a typical trip. They aren’t a guarantee that you’ll have everything you need, and they can’t know your plans, your health, or the rules that apply to you.

You’re responsible for deciding what to pack and for checking anything that matters for your trip, including visas, passports, vaccines, medicines, customs rules, park permits and local laws. Where we mention official requirements, check them with the official source before you travel, because rules change.

Nothing on TripPacker is medical, legal or financial advice. If a line mentions health, like altitude, water or sun, talk to a doctor or pharmacist about what’s right for you.

Weather and conditions are averages or forecasts

Temperatures, rain days, sunset times and other conditions on a list come from years of historical weather data and are averages for that month. Real weather on your dates can be very different. On a saved trip that starts within 14 days, we may show a forecast from a third-party weather service instead. Forecasts can be wrong, and they change.

Currency rates in the converter come from the European Central Bank through a third-party service. They’re reference rates for a past date, not the rate you’ll get from a bank, card or exchange.

Pollen, tap water, walking, dress and similar notes come from sources we believe are reliable, but they’re general and can be out of date.

Affiliate links, prices and availability

TripPacker earns money through affiliate links. When you click through to a store and buy something, the store may pay us a commission, at no extra cost to you. Our disclosure page explains this in more detail.

Stores set their own prices, stock, shipping, returns and product details, and those can change at any time. Any price or availability you see on TripPacker may be out of date. The store’s own page is the one that counts. When you buy something, your purchase is between you and the store, under the store’s terms. We aren’t the seller, and we can’t handle orders, returns, refunds or warranty claims.

Our picks are editorial

When we mark a product as a Top pick or say we carry something, that’s our own opinion, based on our use, research and reviews. It isn’t a guarantee that the product will suit you or work as described. Brands don’t pay us to be picked. Affiliate commissions don’t decide what we pick, though we do link to stores that pay us.

The installed app and reminders

You can add TripPacker to your phone’s home screen. It works like the website, and lists you’ve opened before can work offline.

Trips you save are stored on your device. If you sign in with your email, they’re also stored on our server, so they stay in step across your devices. If you haven’t signed in and you clear your browser data, change devices or uninstall, your saved trips may be lost. Our privacy policy explains what we store and how to delete it.

There are two kinds of packing reminders. If you turn on reminders for a trip, we send push reminders to that device (on an iPhone, from the TripPacker app on your home screen). If you tick the box when you save a trip with your email, we send one reminder email 7 days before your trip. You can turn either one off at any time, and every reminder email has a one-click unsubscribe. We store what’s needed to send them, as our privacy policy explains.

Reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee. They depend on your device, browser, email provider and the push service your browser uses, and they may arrive late or not at all. Don’t rely on them for anything time-critical, like a flight time or a visa deadline.

Using the site fairly

Please don’t:

• Copy, scrape or republish our lists, text or data in bulk, or use them to build a competing service, without our written permission.
• Try to break, overload or get around the security of the site, the admin area or our systems.
• Use the site in a way that breaks the law or harms others.
• Pretend to be us, or misuse our affiliate links.

We may block access if someone does any of these things.

Our content

The text, lists, design and code on TripPacker belong to Droppin LLC or the people who license them to us. Product names, logos and images belong to their owners. You’re welcome to use the site and share links to it for your own trips.

No warranty

We work hard to keep TripPacker accurate and running, but we provide it “as is” and “as available.” We don’t promise that it will always be available, error-free, complete or up to date, or that it will meet your needs. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Droppin LLC won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost trips, lost bookings, missing items, or problems caused by products you buy from stores, arising from your use of TripPacker. Where we can be held liable, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to one hundred US dollars. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the site after a change, that means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Hamilton County, Tennessee, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
